How to Explore

This knowledge base is made of three interconnected sections. Here's what each one is for and how to move between them.

Organizations

Organizations is the best place to start. You'll land on a world map — each pin is an organization working in bioregional or regenerative practice somewhere in the world.

Use the Map / Gallery toggle at the top-left to switch between the map and a card gallery of all organizations. The gallery lets you search by name and filter by category, tags, or case-study status.

Click any pin on the map or any card in the gallery to open the organization's full page. Case-study organizations are marked with a yellow pin on the map and a "Case study" label in the gallery.

Ontology

Ontology is the shared vocabulary of the Knowledge Commons — the concepts and themes that cut across all the organizations. Think of it as a thematic index: if you're curious about a topic like governance, finance, or land stewardship, start here.

Themes are broad containers; each theme opens a page with its description, related tags, activities, organizations, and sources. Tags are the finer-grained concepts nested under each theme.

Sources

Sources is the bibliography — reports, essays, talks, and resources connected to the organizations and themes across this knowledge base. A good place to go deeper on something that caught your attention.

A few things worth knowing

• Not every organization has a full case study yet — the Knowledge Commons is a living project and some entries are more complete than others.
