Wellspring Commons
🌐Wellspring Commons is a bioregionally grounded initiative dedicated to cultivating mutually thriving relationships between human communities and the larger web of life—from protecting ecological lifelines and developing local food systems, to building a forest-based materialshed and funding ecosystems for regenerative action. Wellspring Commons also contributes to a growing knowledge commons by sharing tools, information, and practices that align with the limits and generative capacities of place.
Bioregional Context
A region spanning the northeastern U.S. and Canada, characterized by its mixed hardwood forests, glacially carved landscapes, and a legacy of agrarian and industrial land use. While increasingly threatened by climate disruption, development, and ecological fragmentation, the area retains significant biodiversity, intact ecosystems, and deep cultural memory.
